A warm breeze was gently blowing across the open moorland as I approached with caution, the highland cow and her calf were soaking up the Exmoor rays before the calf nuzzled right in . I couldn’t resist capturing this special moment before passing by, it was just so typical of Exmoor.

I was extremely grateful that I was able to capture this very rare moment of Lynton and Lynmouth engulfed in evening sea mist. It was a truly magical moment that me and my nan shared. I don’t think any view on this planet will top what we were able to see. One of the many reasons why I’m lucky to call Lynton and Lynmouth home.

On the lower slopes of Dunkery,  the sky was dense with the black and heavy clouds of a passing storm. It was close to sunset and the low disappearing sun produced an intense golden light in stark and dramatic contrast to the dark brooding skies, in an unfolding drama of light and dark. Enigmatic and wild Exmoor at its best!

I am so thrilled to have had a photo chosen.  All the photos were really lovely and any one one of them could have been chosen. I just love the micro climate and the lichen – it is so very typical of Exmoor. It always brings a smile to my face when I find some.
Thank you.
