A beautiful and peaceful morning at Porlock Weir today. An excellent spot to enjoy a cappuccino with JoannePaul Davies, 11 October 2021
I am forever drawn to these majestic ancient beeches on Exmoor.
The narrow lane meanders down from Porlock Hill towards Oare in Lorna Doone country. At the bottom of the hill, next to a picturesque car park, Robber’s (or Robbers) Bridge crosses Oare Water. It is an old masonry arch bridge, well worth a visit for a picnic or a paddle in the river.
