Mosaic for young people in Exmoor is back

Campaign for National Parks, working in partnership with Exmoor National Park Authority, has appointed a New Mosaic Youth Project officer for Exmoor – Barney Simmons.

The aim of the Big Lottery funded project is to get young people involved with Exmoor National Park so that they will be inspired to look after it, and to improve the skills of young people to help them find jobs and become more active citizens.

Barney is looking to recruit 16 to 25 year-olds to become Young Champions for Exmoor. Young Champions are volunteers. They will learn about Exmoor National Park and try out different activities – conservation, sports, walking, crafts – whatever they are interested in. Young Champions promote the National Park to other people and advise on the services and activities the National Park Authority offers.
