Charity Dinner is raising money for North Devon hedgehogs

TP018193 2The Culbone on top of Porlock Hill is hosting a charity dinner on Sunday 28 April 2013 at 6.30pm to raise funds for the North Devon Hedgehog Rescue, a family-run charity based in Braunton. Tickets cost £30.00 for a three-course-dinner. Local businesses have donated valuable prizes to support this cause.

The event takes place in the lead up to Hedgehog Awareness Week which runs from 5 – 11 May 2013. Hedgehog numbers are declining all over Britain, with last year’s wet weather having been one of the contributing factors.

North Devon Hedgehog Rescue was faced with an influx of injured and poorly hogs at the end of last year due to the wet and mild winter.  Up to 50 hedgehogs were brought in over this time.  Anni and her husband Graeme, who run the small charity, were forced find more room to house all of the rescues.
